Jon Basíl Tequila is a Chicago-based premium tequila brand producing handcrafted spirits made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in Jalisco, Mexico. Established in 2018 by Uduimoh Umolu and Belall Taher, the company combines traditional Mexican tequila-making techniques with contemporary branding and a celebration of culture, ambition, and personal achievement.

Jon Basíl produces three tequila expressions: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo. Each begins with Blue Weber agave sourced from the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco, combining the characteristics of both growing regions.

The Blanco offers notes of cooked agave, citrus, honey, and subtle spice. The Reposado is aged in oak whiskey barrels for approximately nine to eleven months, developing flavors associated with roasted agave, vanilla, fruit, and oak. The Añejo undergoes extended aging for a more mature expression of the brand’s tequila-making approach.
