The SoulFood Lounge is an upscale soul food restaurant in Chicago, offering globally inspired cuisine that brings together Southern comfort food and international flavors. Founded by Chef Quentin Love, a Marine veteran and community advocate, the restaurant operates two locations in North Lawndale and Beverly, each featuring its own distinctive menu.

Chef Love’s approach to cooking draws on the traditions he learned from his grandmother while growing up on Chicago’s South Side. His culinary philosophy treats soul food as a global experience, incorporating influences from Italian, Mexican, Asian, Caribbean, and American cuisines into creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes.

At the North Lawndale location, guests can enjoy selections such as fire maple glazed fried chicken, Cajun fried catfish étouffée, Korean glazed short ribs, and truffle lobster macaroni and cheese. Other offerings include Marsala braised pot roast, Louisiana blackened salmon, and Creole seafood dressing.

The Beverly location offers a different selection of globally inspired dishes, including Caribbean barbecue catfish, Argentinian chimichurri pot roast, Mediterranean lamb shank, Hong Kong honey shrimp, and Southern fried catfish arrabbiata. Weekend brunch provides additional opportunities to explore the restaurant’s creative approach to soul food.

Both locations feature Chef Love’s Grand Tasting experience, allowing guests to sample three entrées alongside dessert and a complimentary glass of wine or champagne. The experience highlights the restaurant’s diverse culinary influences and encourages diners to explore multiple dishes.

The SoulFood Lounge also offers reservations, takeout, delivery, and catering for private celebrations, family gatherings, and corporate events. The Beverly location features live jazz on select weekends.
