Prohibition THCafe is a cannabis-themed café, THC retail shop, and community gathering space in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood. Located along South State Street, the adults-only establishment combines specialty beverages, infused products, entertainment, and local culture in a relaxed lounge environment.

Established in June 2024, Prohibition THCafe grew out of the Support Your Local Weedman movement, which emphasizes cannabis education, community engagement, and opportunities for local entrepreneurs. The café brings these interests together through its retail offerings, social atmosphere, and creative programming.

The café serves coffee, espresso drinks, specialty teas, refreshers, lemonades, and frozen slushies. Its menu includes traditional café beverages alongside THC-infused drink options, with infusion available where permitted. Customers can also explore a selection of brownies, crispy treats, gummies, and other specialty edibles.

Beyond its café offerings, Prohibition THCafe carries a variety of cannabis-related products, including pre-rolls, vapes, and branded merchandise. Its selection features house products and collaborations associated with Support Your Local Weedman.

Prohibition THCafe also serves as a gathering place for Chicago’s creative community. The venue hosts live music, karaoke, poetry nights, art showcases, and other events that bring together local artists, performers, and residents. Its lounge-style atmosphere provides a setting for socializing, attending events, and exploring contemporary cannabis culture.

The business emphasizes product transparency, education, and responsible consumption, including third-party testing and clear product labeling. Entry is restricted to adults 21 and older with valid identification, and on-site consumption is subject to applicable regulations.

For adults exploring Chicago’s cannabis café scene, Prohibition THCafe offers a combination of specialty beverages, retail products, entertainment, and community-focused experiences in the South Loop.
