Dat Donut is a Black-owned Chicago donut shop and bakery known for fresh, hand-cut donuts and its famous oversized Big DAT Donut. Darryl and Andrea opened the original shop in Chatham in 1994. Today, they serves customers from locations on Chicago’s South and North sides.

The bakery makes a wide variety of classic donuts and pastries. Customers can choose glazed, chocolate, cake, caramel, and filled donuts. The menu also features cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, bow ties, specialty donuts, and assorted half-dozen and dozen boxes. The signature Big DAT offers a giant glazed donut made for sharing.

The shop serves more than sweets. Depending on the location, customers can order breakfast sandwiches, steak sandwiches, Italian beef, hoagies, fries, coffee, espresso drinks, cold brew, tea, and other beverages. The shops offer dine-in, pickup, and delivery. They also handles catering and bulk donut orders for offices, schools, meetings, celebrations, and other events.
